Tactical Symbols 2# The Answer

 So more groupings, which i now have an answer to
it is basically a Group possibly temporary as in Kampfgruppe for the Germans
but basically the same or similar size to Army, Corps, Division, Brigade, regiment.

As above a more permanent as in Self proppelled Artillery for CCA CCB CCR establishment
in the Artillery grouping in Armored (Armoured) Div (U.S)1944 as a Brigade

and the Artillery as a regiment in a 1944 US Infantry Division.

Then we go to Manchuria etc 1945 and have the Soviet 36th Army with two Groups (corps) one a forward detatchment as forward Scouts being well over a Division of attachments (can see all the JS 152s 122s etc)
and then the Operational group as (and the Question never seen that symbol)
I assume a  A mis-done infantry Div or misprint armour (armor) assume former.

So as temporary unit, Kamfgruppe or as near to size..

next up Halle reserves at Waterloo and where the 81st?,  29th,  25th(Antwerp?),  37th(Bel?),78th(Bel?),   British were? and the 2nd Dragoon Guards (Bel?)

1/300 Soviet Naval Infantry Warsaw Pact Commision

So some work done Mid last Year of well read the title:

Just basic sand basing for Infantry etc.(more of that later)

Probably do some more searching through photos of close ups on infantry and more on Helo's and Aircraft

 

Just let the photo's do the talking, but a good mixed force of Mid '80s Soviet Naval.
BTRs, PT 76s, BRDMs ZSU 23 Shilka etc

And just basic Air Support (would have loved some Hinds etc) But will get mine finished and thinking of Doubling them anyhow

found a few 20mm odds and sods in a box, well OK i knew they were there just had to pull them out and grab the camera.

And the next shots are a Vietnam era sandbagged HQ etc from Frontline Hobbies, I had the whole firebase and etc but lost in a giant box of scenary i mean there was a hell of alot of 1/300 and 1/72,28mm,20mm
stuff which i am surprised that nothing has turned up anywhere ie E-bay etc,

I ended up losing the roof (roof parts)which was all palm leaves etc and corugated iron sheets on sandbags,

with a lookout, section, MG post

Tactical Symbol question?

A question for you to answer?

The photo is from World at War issue "What if Hitler went East?"

and is a from the German army disposition OOB from 1940

Now the Question is what is the line around the the Army Group "Kliest" represent?:

 And again over the Divisional unit "Verfuhgungs" which is the fore runner of Das Reich ala 1942 when numbering also was started (later)

Any answer greatly received, it is annoying me, But not losing sleep YET??

This time a quick clearing for all scales will diaroma it up, Just as a Gun emplacement or HQ or ???

(well more all the time mostly on World War Two subjects Kriegsmarine, Luftwaffe, PanzerGrenadier Divisions and Such)!. Will Blog as I get more.

just a taste of what is inside, and as said not a bad book. You would possibly go into more specific books
for more information etc.

on as you can guess WW1 aircraft a good source book and ideas for 1/300 (or other scales I pressume)
The only problem is it is only profiles so need to to do top wings, But have enough sources of German Camoflage and those Fokker D.VIIs etc stripes etc. But for a more than basic grasp and TO&E etc,
But yes for my looming 1/300 WW1 project
